STOVEPIPE

This character was created in 2002. Stovepipe was based on an illustrated series called Nebulas. In this series I had illustrated repeated charcaters, in groups that were meant to float around consciousness. They symbolized the life and transferrence of personal emotion.
This specific character was created as a visual symbol that absorbed harmfull negative emotions and thoughts and burnt them up through his belly and puffed them out through his pipe as clouds. He was created to aid the suffering soul. He is made from wool flannel and is 3′ high.
